Joel Dyke is a straightforward communicator who uniquely connects God’s unchanging truth with a diverse culture through compelling and creative teaching methods, incorporating all types of media to bring to life his life changing messages.
In 1984, Joel answered the call to full time ministry and went to southern Mexico and worked ten years as a resident missionary. In 1997, Joel became pastor of his home church, and began to assemble a new ministry team. In 2005 Joel took the church through a transition and Life Church became the fulfillment of a long awaited dream.
Pastor Joel’s dream for Life Church is to be a place where hurting people from all backgrounds can come and find healing and acceptance. A place where relationships are everything, church is life-giving and exciting, and even non-believers are welcome to investigate Christianity without all of the religious trappings that seem to turn so many away

- Joel’s Family: Joel and Angel were married in 1987 and they have two beautiful daughters, Hannah and Rebekah.
- Joel’s favorite hobby is : any football game, playstation 2 (he is the Madden 2005 champion!), and deer hunting.
- Joel’s worst habits: eating too much, too late and staying up too late at night.
- Joel’s dream meal: fried catfish and any kind of “legitimate” Mexican food (not Taco Bell) .
- Joel’s ideal vacation: Anywhere in the Caribbean on the beach. Give him a beach and he is happy.
